Context
Carpet is a textile floor covering that can make rooms feel more comfortable: soft touch, pleasant walking feel and often noticeably better room acoustics. It may suit bedrooms, living areas, home offices, hotel or commercial zones or smaller commercial spaces – depending on product, use and maintenance.
Carpet makes sense when comfort and acoustics are priorities. We advise neutrally – without claiming carpet is always better than other coverings or equally suitable for every room.

The decision depends on use, wear, maintenance expectations, material, colour, subfloor and installation method. In consultation we work through these points systematically.
Comfortable room feel, soft touch and often better room acoustics make carpet especially homely in sleep and living areas – but suitability depends on product, use and care.
Product
Soft touch and a pleasant feel underfoot – especially in living and sleeping areas.
Carpet can absorb sound and soften room acoustics – depending on build-up and underlay.
Textile surfaces often feel more homely and can soften a room visually.
From subtle to bold – colours, patterns and pile structures shape the mood.
Different qualities for different use – we explain the differences clearly.
Subfloor, installation method and finishes determine durability and appearance.
Decision guide
Carpet is chosen through material, pile, use and installation method – not colour or pattern alone. These criteria help you prepare before a showroom visit.
Natural or synthetic fibre, blends and quality affect touch, use and care.
Short or long pile, loop or cut pile – structure shapes look and feel.
Bedroom, living area or commercial zone place different demands on the covering.
Colours look different in room light than on a sample – comparison in the showroom helps.
When sound insulation matters, build-up, underlay and installation play a role.
Maintenance depends on fibre, pile and use – we explain effort and limits clearly.
Glue, stretch or loose lay: subfloor and system must match.
Finishes at walls, pipes and openings should be planned technically and visually.
Colours and textures read differently in room light than on screen. In our Munich-Forstenried showroom we lay samples side by side and discuss material and touch with you.

Service & existing floors
Not every project starts on a bare subfloor. When an old carpet or textile covering needs replacing, we assess existing build-up, subfloor and transitions – and recommend the next step.
Before glueing, stretching or loose laying we clarify subfloor, levelness and transitions to tile, doors and neighbouring areas. That avoids level jumps later and protects the overall look.
Depending on product and area we choose the right installation method. Underlay, expansion and skirting junctions are considered so the floor finishes cleanly in look and function.
Installation is carried out by experienced master craftsmen – including considered skirting and finishes where agreed. After completion you receive care notes suited to your chosen product.
We assess
Unsure whether new carpet or replacement? We review the existing floor and advise honestly.

Often bedrooms, living areas, home offices or selected commercial zones – when comfort and acoustics matter. Heavily used or damp areas need a more careful product choice. Carpet is not automatically the best fit for every use; we clarify that in consultation.
That depends on fibre, pile, colour and use. Regular vacuuming is usually important; stains and heavy wear place different demands than vinyl or parquet. We explain care and limits clearly for your chosen product.
Wear class, fibre, pile height and installation must match the use. Hallways and busy routes need the right product – not every carpet is suitable. We advise which quality fits your room.

A sound, level subfloor, the correct installation method for the product, transitions and finishes. Underlay, expansion and skirting junctions must be technically right. We check this before execution.
