When it makes sense
When parquet sanding and renovation pays off
Not every floor needs to be replaced. Often a professional refurbishment is enough when the existing build is fundamentally sound and you want to keep the wood look.

scratches, pressure marks or dull areas in heavily used zones
greyed or worn surface instead of an even appearance
visible wear paths along hallways and doorways
minor damage, open joints or local repairs
old sealant or care film that no longer looks right
renovation instead of replacement when build-up and use allow it
Scope
What we take care of for your parquet
Inspect condition
We review build-up, use and damage and recommend the appropriate scope.
Sand parquet
The surface is carefully abraded so wood structure and pattern show again.
Repair joints and damage
Minor damage and joints are prepared cleanly before the finish is applied.
Oil, seal or maintain
The right finish protects the floor and shapes look and everyday care.
Treat edges cleanly
Skirting boards and transitions are considered so the result looks coherent.
Finish consultation
Oiled, sealed or low-maintenance: we explain pros and cons for your property.
Finish
Oil, sealant or a low-maintenance solution?
The right finish depends on the property, use and desired appearance. We advise clearly – without a blanket recommendation for every case.
Oiled surface
Natural wood look with tangible texture. Care and occasional re-oiling are part of long-term upkeep.
Sealed or lacquered surface
Closed protective layer with an even effect. Often suitable when the floor is heavily used.
Pragmatic renovation solution
Depending on condition and expectations, a practical solution can make sense – we explain what to expect day to day.

When is it worth sanding parquet?
When the existing floor is fundamentally sound but scratches, dull areas or a worn finish are bothering you. After professional refurbishment the floor looks even again – often more economical and resource-friendly than full replacement.
How often can parquet be sanded?
That depends on build-up, remaining wear layer and previous work. With classic parquet, several sandings are often possible. We inspect the existing floor and say openly what is realistic.
Does the apartment need to be empty?
For sanding and surface treatment the area should be freely accessible. Whether furniture can stay in other rooms depends on scope and schedule – we clarify that case by case.
Oil or sealant – which is better?
Both can be appropriate. Oiled surfaces emphasise wood texture; sealants form a closed protective layer. Use, maintenance effort and desired look decide – ideally checked on samples in the showroom.
Can damaged parquet be repaired?
Many minor defects can be repaired before sanding. For larger damage we assess whether repair, partial replacement or broader renovation makes more sense.
